Daily – 7.00 am to 3.00 pm.
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (except Poya Day) – re-inspection of beef is carried out.
1. Controllability of Rabies
- Conduct vaccination clinics. (Daily)
- Conducting field vaccination centers. (Covering authority)
- Vaccination of stray dogs.
- Taking the necessary action for complaints related to Rabies.
2. Governance audit for meat at grocery stores and grocers.
3. Making recommendations for the registration of Cattle, Pigs, Goats, and Poultry.
4. Registration of Slaughterhouses under the 'Goghataka' Ordinance.
5. Re-inspection of all meat brought in from outside the Municipal limits.
6. Taking legal action against illegal butcher shops.
7. Supervision and regulation of poultry and pork trade registration. (Conducted only on Sundays.)
8. Conducting public awareness. (In cases of animal-borne disease and zoonotic epidemic situations.)
